Tobacco Control  & Prevention Program

Since 2001, SIPA has worked to reduce tobacco use and to limit the harmful effects of tobacco on youth, families, schools and communities.   As a Los Angeles County Tobacco Control and Prevention Program (TCPP) contractor, SIPA has led campaigns in jurisdictions throughout the County and built strong, grass-roots movements to establish local tobacco retail licensing (TRL) requirements and reduce youth access to tobacco.

SIPA has led successful campaigns in the County’s unincorporated communities as well as the cities of Baldwin Park, West Covina and El Monte.  Currently, SIPA’s efforts are focused on the City of Pico Rivera.
